The Committee on Youth Affairs of the Senate of the University announces the start of accepting documents for the award of the scholarship of the Chairman of the Board - Rector of NCJSC “Karaganda Medical University”.

The scholarship is awarded to full-time students who do not receive a scholarship, starting from the 2nd year of study, successfully mastering educational programs (provided that the GPA is not lower than 3.0 for the entire period of study and does not have disciplinary sanctions for the entire period of study), engaged in research work, innovation, entrepreneurial, sports, cultural, creative and social activities.

In order to take part in the scholarship competition, you must:

1. Prepare a package of documents for participation;

2. Submit the completed package of documents to the dean's office of your school or faculty for consideration.

List of documents:

1. Application of a candidate for a scholarship of the Chairman of the Board - Rector;

2. Characteristics for the candidate, signed by the dean of the relevant school or faculty, which necessarily includes the candidate's GPA for the entire period of study and information on the presence or absence of disciplinary sanctions for the entire period of study (prepared by the dean's office);

3. Copies of documents confirming the special results of the candidate in research work, innovation and entrepreneurial activities (if any);

4. Copies of documents confirming the special results of the candidate in sports activities (if any);

5. Copies of documents confirming the special results of the candidate in cultural and creative activities (if any);

6. Copies of documents confirming the special results of the candidate in socially significant activities (if any).

Candidates are evaluated according to the point system and according to the criteria, calculated by the formula X = (GPA*25*0.50) + (A*2*0.20) + (B*6.25*0.10) + (C* 5 * 0.10) + (D * 12.5 * 0.10), where GPA is the weighted average of the level of educational achievements for the entire period of study, A - the results of research work, innovative and entrepreneurial activities of the candidate, B - the results of sports candidate's activities, C – results of the candidate's cultural and creative activities, D – results of the candidate's socially significant activities.

In case of equal scores, preference is given to students belonging to preferential categories. If candidates do not belong to preferential categories, then preference is given to students with more achievements.
