The composition of the Library:
- The block of acquisitions and bibliography
- The block of scientific and educational literature provision
The block of acquisitions and bibliography is engaged in the formation of a fund; carries out the current acquisition; additional acquisition; delivery desks of periodicals; keeps total and individual records of the library fund. It also carries out systematization, cataloging and technical processing of books and other materials for structural divisions of the library; forms the database of the electronic catalog for new acquisions (revenues); organizes, maintains and edits general catalogs of the library.
The block of acquisitions and bibliography forms the databases of the electronic catalog «Articles», «Works of teaching staff of KMU», «Doctors of the city»; creates full-text databases «Electronic Library», «Repository of NCJSC «KMU»; provides information, enquiry and bibliographic service for users, indexes manuscripts, provides access to databases; organizes and conducts classes on the formation of information culture; provides consulting assistance to improve the skills of librarians.

The block of scientific and educational literature provision issues scientific, educational and periodical medical, socio-political literature and literature in a foreign language, and also provides access to electronic (online) resources. It consists of: scientific literature delivery desk, a reading room, a hall of periodicals, a hall of electronic resources, an interactive hall and 2 delivery desks of educational literature.
