On June 12, an online meeting on anti-corruption issues in educational institutions of the country was held under the chairmanship of the First Deputy Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Olzhas Bektenov.

The meeting was attended by Vice Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Miras Daulenov, rectors, compliance officers and decision-makers of universities, as well as the heads of the project offices of “Adal bilim” and “Sanalyurpaq”.The Karaganda Medical University was presented by the Chairman of the Board - Rector R.S. Dosmagambetova and compliance officer UrmashovAlexandr.

During the meeting, the main vectors of developing a policy of zero tolerance for manifestations of corruption in universities were announced, the Standard of openness and transparency and the Methodology for identifying and resolving conflicts of interest were presented.

It is noted that a special role in this work is played by the Academic Integrity League, member of which the Medical University of Karaganda has been since 2018.

In turn, Ainagul Karipova, an officer for particularly important cases of the Agency’s Prevention Department, and Oksana Voznyak, analyst at the “Adal bilim” project office, spoke in detail about the Methodology for identifying and resolving conflicts of interest in universities.
