Master class for Kostanay colleagues

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Medical University of Karaganda provides the necessary assistance to practical health care not only in the Karaganda region, but also in the sponsored regions.

The university staff under the leadership of the rector R.S. Dosmagambetova, vice-rector for clinical work B.N. Kosherova, with the participation of the dean of the school of residency and professional development V.B. Tashkenbayeva, vice-dean A.G. Beysenayeva, specialist of the school G.K. Ramazanova organized another master class on the problems of coronavirus infection for medical workers of Kostanay region

The professors of the university prepared a training program for a master class, the task of which was to form a competence system in theoretical foundations and practical skills for working with patients in case of suspected / confirmed coronavirus infection COVID-19 among specialized specialists.

The basis of the training program of the master class was the clinical protocol for the diagnosis and treatment of coronavirus infection COVID-19 (10th edition for medical workers - Protocol No. 107 dated July 15, 2020).

This protocol was drawn up by the teaching staff of medical universities in Karaganda, Almaty and Nur-Sultan. The head of the development group - Vice-rector for clinical work of “MUK” NC JSC B.N. Kosherova.

600 medical workers of Kostanay region took part in the distance education. A 54-hour master class was held for doctors of various profiles on the topic: "Features of diagnosis and treatment of patients with coronavirus infection in hospital and primary health care."

The safety issues of medical workers in COVID-19, standard precautions based on the routes of infection were analyzed by Doctorate degree in Medicine, professor at the School of Public Health F.M. Shaizadina.

The clinical protocol for the diagnosis and treatment of coronavirus infection, the diagnostic criteria for COVID-19 in children, data on pediatric multisystem inflammatory syndrome (PMIS) were covered by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Academician of RAS, Professor of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Phthisiology of the Medical University of Karaganda R.Kh. Begaydarova.

The issues of clinical features and diagnostics of coronavirus infection in adult patients, pregnant women, women in labor and parturient women were considered by Candidate of Medical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Phthisiology A.A. Kim.

The peculiarities of diagnostics and treatment of pneumonia caused by CVI were paid attention to by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Internal Medicine No. 3 LK Ibraeva.

Features of the clinical course of complications of CVI and their intensive therapy were highlighted by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Resuscitation and Anesthesiology D.V. Vasiliev.

The goal of providing medical care at all stages was the following:

1. At the outpatient clinic level, ambulance - early detection of clinical manifestations of diseases, timely triage, home treatment and hospitalization according to indications.

2. Stationary level (infectious diseases department) - early start of treatment (anticipatory nature) in order to prevent the progression of the disease ("cytokine storm" and the development of complications). Monitoring of comorbid diseases.

3. Stationary level (ICU) - intensive therapy, resuscitation therapy, the use of ECMO, convalescent plasma in order to prevent an unfavorable outcome.

4. Outpatient-polyclinic level - effective respiratory, psychological rehabilitation and more.

Everyone needs to know and follow the basic COVID-19 prevention measures. For this, the population is advised to avoid crowded places, poorly ventilated premises, wear a mask, and observe personal hygiene.
