On March 29, 2022, an international scientific and practical conference: «Nursing in the context of reform: priority areas in diagnosis, support and rehabilitation» was held at the Medical University of  Karaganda. The organizers of the conference were School of Nursing of «Karaganda Medical University», NJSC, Association «НЕИРОН» (scientific and practical Eurasian integration of rehabilitation specialists, orthopedictraumatologists, neurologists), Department of Science and Human Resources of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Representatives of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan represented by A.S. Nauruzbayeva spoke at the conference on the state of nursing service in the Republic of Kazakhstan at the present stage, the National Scientific Center for Health Development represented by Z.A. Baigozhina on the issues of professional development and improvement of the educational level of working nurses in the Republic of Kazakhstan, professor of the School of Nursing Education on the main aspects of the implemented nursing guidelines in the context of reforming the nursing service, special attention was paid to rehabilitation issues.

In addition to domestic speakers, foreign colleagues from the Federal State Budgetary Institution «Federal Center for Brain and Neurotechnologies» of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency of Russia Moscow, the «Federal Scientific and Clinical Center for Resuscitation and Rehabilitation» and the University of Vilnius, Republic of Lithuania, SES, Bonn, Germany, JUMK University of Applied Sciences , Finland, Associations of Occupational Therapists, Sydney, Australia, UMC Utrecht (Utrecht University), the Netherlands, who spoke on the main areas of nursing in the context of reform: delegated authority, nursing support and rehabilitation competencies of nursing staff. Foreign colleagues shared their experience in the nursing process in CHF, in the basic competencies of nurses in the field of kinesitherapy, occupational therapy, logotherapy, in rehabilitation routing of patients with cerebral stroke at all stages of recovery.

The event was attended by medical and educational organizations that implement scientific, educational and practical activities of nursing staff in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan. More than 1028 participants from the practical and educational segment of nursing services were registered and 384 participants were connected online.

The conference received a great response both from representatives of practical healthcare and employees of educational organizations, who received up-to-date information and expressed a wish for the further continuation of this event.
