On April 28, an international scientific student online conference "Embryonic development of a person in normal and pathological conditions" was held at the Department of Morphology and Physiology of the "MUK" NJSC, in which students and teachers of Omsk State Medical University and "Medical University of Karaganda" NJSC took part.

  The conference was chaired by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Histology, Cytology and Embryology of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "Omsk State Medical University" - Viktor Aleksandrovich Akulinin, co-chairman - Professor of the Department of Morphology and Physiology of "MUK" NJSC - Galina Urazovna Zhanaidarova.

  Among the speeches of the conference, reports on the use of umbilical cord blood stem cells in medicine (Volodina A., 1015 group GM, scientific adviser assistant to the Prof. Berikbaeva B.Kh., the I place) aroused great interest; on the comparative characteristics of the histogenesis of the fetal liver during full-term pregnancy in normal and gestosis (Duisenbaev E., Toktasynova S., 2022 group of "MUK" NCJSC, scientific supervisor Associate Prof. Yesimova R.Zh., the II place); on the effect of ethanol on the fetal heart muscle (Zhunusova D., 2021 group GM, supervisor prof. Zhanaidarova G.U., the III place); on the histological characteristics of defects in the development of the placenta (Dishant Kaushik, 2002 a group of GM, supervisors: teachers Beisenov T.S., Punit Kumar, the III place).

  At the conference, 3 more works of students of the International Medical Faculty were presented: Vipul Gupta (2002, GM group), Pooja Kumawat (2002, GM group of "MUK" NJSC) and Satish Jangid (2002, GM group), supervisors: teachers Beisenov T. S. and Punit Kumar. The reports of the students of the International Faculty of Medicine aroused great interest and a lively discussion.

  Muravieva Maria (Group 133 of Omsk State Medical University) spoke about a rare pathology - lithopedion (stone fetus), the report was illustrated with a photograph of a unique specimen of lithopedion in the world, which is stored in the museum at the Department of Histology, Cytology and Embryology of Omsk State Medical University (supervisor: Ph.D., Associate Professor of Omsk State Medical University Baranets N.A.)

  Apart from Dishant Kaushik, Elena Loginova (group 407 of Omsk State Medical University), scientific adviser: Associate Professor of Omsk State Medical University I.G. Tsuskman, reported on the structure and functions of the placenta. In total, 24 reports were presented at the conference, which aroused interest among those present and scientific discussion.

  Summing up the results of the international conference, Professor of the Department of Histology, Cytology and Embryology of Omsk State Medical University Viktor Aleksandrovich Akulinin, who thanked the students of Kazakhstan and Omsk for participating in the work and expressed hope for further effective co-operation.
