Assessment of compliance of educational programs with international and European quality standards

In the period from May 24 to May 26, 2022, the international accreditation by the independent accreditation agency IAAR in a hybrid format was held at the Medical University of Karaganda.

Program (specialized) accreditation of residency educational programs is carried out: 7R01108 Cardiology adult, children; 7R01118 Otorhinolaryngology adult, children; 7R01122 Psychiatry adult, children; 7R01127 Traumatology and orthopedics adult, children; 7R01144 Emergency medicine adult, children.

The IAAR Expert Commission consists of Chairman - Chernetskikh Olga Semenovna, MD, Professor, N. Testemitsanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Chisinau, Republic of Moldova); expert – Dmitry Dmitrievich Redko, PhD, Associate Professor, Gomel State Medical University (Gomel, Republic of Belarus); expert – Zholdin Bekbolat Kulzhanovich, PhD, "West Kazakhstan Medical University named after Marat Ospanov" NCJSC (Aktobe, Republic of Kazakhstan); expert – Dzharbosynova Botagoz Bineshovna, MD, Professor, "Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov" NCJSC (Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan); expert – Seydakhmetova Aizat Ashimkhanovna, PhD, "South Kazakhstan Medical Academy" JSC (Shymkent, Republic of Kazakhstan); expert – Abilmazhinov Mukhtar Tolegenovich, MD, Professor, "Astana Medical University" NCJSC (Nur – Sultan, Republic of Kazakhstan); expert representative of the employer – Daniyarova Bayan Lashinovna, CGE "Regional Clinical Hospital" (Karaganda, Republic of Kazakhstan); expert, representative of students – Murzabulatova Ainur Chingizovna, the 2nd year resident, Corporate Foundation "University Medical Center" (Nur-Sultan, Republic of Kazakhstan); expert, representative of students – Amanullayeva Marzhan Serrikkyzy, the 2nd year resident, "Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov" NCJSC (Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan); IAAR coordinator – Alisa Satbekovna Dzhakenova, PhD, Head of Medical Projects of the Agency (Nur-Sultan, Republic of Kazakhstan).

Within the framework of the visit program, meetings with the teaching staff, residents, employers and graduates of accredited educational programs were organized.

During the visit, the members of the commission got acquainted with the work of the Center for Simulation and Educational Technologies, the library and Publishing center, the Student Service Center, the Department of Academic Work, as well as the School of Residency and Professional Development, visited the clinical bases involved in the implementation of accredited educational programs: Multidisciplinary Hospital № 2, Cardio-Rehabilitation Center LLP "Tulpar", Multidisciplinary Hospital named after Professor Makazhanova H.Zh., University Clinic of the "MUK" NCJSC, CGE at the Regional Mental Health Center UZKO, Department of Neurology, Psychiatry and Rehabilitation, CGE "Regional ambulance Station" of the Health Department of the Karaganda region, № 5.

On May 26, the final meeting of the expert commission with the dean, heads of departments and heads of educational programs with the participation of the university management will take place.

It should be noted that International accreditation is a procedure for assessing the compliance of educational programs with international and European quality standards, the purpose of which is to ensure quality.
