In frame of the academic mobility program between the Medical University of Karaganda and Kazan State Medical University, Professor of the Department of Morphology and Physiology Mindubayeva Farida Anvarovna visited the Department of Normal Physiology from May 12 to May 23, 2022.

The history of the Kazan Medical University begins in 1814, with the formation of the Medical Faculty of the Kazan Imperial University, the first dean of which was Karl Fuchs. For more than two hundred years of the existence of the university, world-famous luminaries of Russian medicine have studied and taught there: A.V. Vishnevsky, A.D. Ado, V.S. Gruzdev and famous physiologists: F.V. Ovsyannikov, N.I. Mislavsky, A.F. Samoilov, A.V. Kibyakov and many others. It was they who laid the foundation for the creation of scientific schools for which the Medical Faculty, the Department of Normal Physiology and the Kazan State Medical University are traditionally famous.

Traditionally, on the birthday of the University, the Assembly Day of the University and the International Educational and Methodological Conference are held. Academicians and professors, associate professors and assistants, teachers, students and residents, graduate students, and, of course, highly respected veterans were invited to the solemn meeting of the Academic Council dedicated to the 208th anniversary of the Kazan State Medical University. The honorary right to deliver the Act speech "Cardiosurgery of early childhood in the Republic of Tatarstan, evolution and interdisciplinary interaction" was granted to the head of the Department of Pediatric Surgery of the Kazan State Medical University, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Leonid Mikhailovich Mirolyubov.

On May 12, Kazan State Medical University hosted the VIII International Educational and Methodological Conference "Medical Education: The Choice of the Generation of the 21st Century". Rector Aleksey Stanislavovich Sozinov addressed the conference participants with a welcoming speech, who outlined the prospects for medical education in the context of the development of a digital educational environment. The moderator of the educational and methodological conference was the first vice-rector Laysan Muzipovna Mukharyamova. During the conference, topical issues of medical education were discussed: competency-based-modular approach (Sadikova S.I., Roslyakova E.M., Kazakhstan), the use of new educational technologies in modular training (Mindubayeva F.A., Riklefs V.P., MUK NCJSC), problems of transformation of medical and pharmaceutical education (A.G. Miroshnichenko), organization of team work in obstetric practice (N.V. Galinovskaya), distance learning technologies (Yu.A. Panfilov), etc. The conference was held in a hybrid format. The conference was attended by a record number of participants - about 800 people. Among the speakers were scientists from Kazakhstan, Belarus, Russia (St. Petersburg, Ryazan, Tomsk, Kazan).

On May 13, master classes were held: "Agile approach in medical education or how eduScrum works", "Gambling teaching methods at the clinical department: examples from practice", "Modern approaches to the "Standardized patient" method as the basis for creating a multidisciplinary clinical case", "Methodology application of technology "Cyberpatient" in full-time format. At the end of the conference, the First Vice-Rector L. M. Mukharyamova noted that the issues discussed during the conference and master classes will form the basis for further scientific and empirical research in the field of medical education.

In accordance with the thematic plan, I conducted practical classes on the following topics: “Determining the type of HNA. Interhemispheric asymmetry”, “Emotional stress and its prevention. Self-diagnosis of stress resistance”, “Mechanisms of digestion and absorption in the intestine. The role of bile” “Mechanisms of urination and urinary excretion” among students of medical, pediatric, dental and pharmaceutical faculties at the Department of Normal Physiology of KSMU. Classes, as students and teachers noted, were held at a high professional level, lively, emotionally, with examples from clinical practice, they included integration with related disciplines (anatomy, histology, clinical disciplines), in an interactive mode.

The teaching staff of the Department of Normal Physiology were acquainted with the history of the Department of Normal Physiology (1950-2022), with the directions of scientific research of the Department of Morphology and Physiology.

Of particular interest to teachers was the acquaintance with the new educational program for students "General Medicine", with innovative methods of teaching students (PBL, RBL) at the Medical University of Karaganda.

Within the framework of scientific and technical cooperation between the departments of morphology and physiology of «KARAGANDA MEDICAL UNIVERSITY» NCJSC (Karaganda) and normal physiology of KSMU (Kazan), a joint scientific work plan was agreed on the topic “New molecular technologies for the diagnosis and effectiveness of the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension in preschool children”. The results of joint scientific research were discussed for the publication of an article in a peer-reviewed foreign scientific journal. The prospects for joint scientific research in the field of medical education were discussed.
