Prescription literacy
Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Evidence-Based Medicine NCJSC "MUK" (Piven L.I., Kim T.V., Karabaeva K.U., Asmagambetova M.T., Romanova A.R., Dildabekova N.T., Kuderinova M. K., Nikolaeva T.L.) from April 5 to April 11, 2023 held the event "Written literacy of writing prescriptions" with 3rd year students of the educational program "General Medicine".
Students were given medicines in various dosage forms, according to which they had to write out prescriptions, and show their prescription literacy, mastered during the period of study at the department. The culmination of the completed tasks was writing a prescription for an emergency drug, which required, in addition to knowledge of the prescription, to show knowledge of the pharmacological affiliation of the drug, its pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics. 3 minutes were allotted for writing each recipe. The analysis of prescribed recipes was carried out, errors were sorted out. The atmosphere of the event was working and friendly.
At the end of the event, students were rewarded with memorable gifts.
