“First Summer student school of microbiologists" (SSSM), which has organized and conducted by the head of the department, associate professor  S.B Akhmetova and associate professor  L.G. Filatova  were held for the first time at the department of Microbiology KSMU from 23 to 26 June 2014.

SSSM was attended by students and graduates of the specialty "Public health", "General medicine", "Veterinary medicine" arrived from the West Kazakhstan state medical University, "Astana Medical University", Agrarian technical University of Astana and students-members of our University.

2.  "The ability of bacteria and viruses cause disease"

3.  "Physiology and biochemistry of microorganisms",

4.  "Microbial biotechnology"

5.  "The Basic mechanisms of antibiotic resistance of hospital strains on the modern stage and ways of overcoming them",

6.  "Modern molecular-genetic methods and genetic markers used in laboratory diagnosis of infectious diseases"

7.  "Dysbacteriosis: illusion and reality?"

8.  "Modern methods of disposal of biomaterials"

Lectures, presentations, seminars were conducted by the leading lecturers of the department: professor I.S. Azizov, associate professor  S.B. Akhmetova, associate professor  L.G. Filatova, associate professor  G.A. Abdulina, associate professor  I.V. Loseva.

Classes in SSSM was accompanied by excursions to the Regional Blood Center of Karaganda, laboratory of collective use SRC of KSMU and microbiological laboratory of  Karaganda dairy plant LLP "Natige".

The final session was held at the recreation area "Medic" (v.Topar), where presentations of student's scientific works was heard and discussed.

The diploma of the first degree awarded by a collective work of the 2-nd year students of speciality "General medicine" U.Kadyrbaeva, J.Kuanysheva, A.Kurmankulova, L.Choi "The Study of microbial landscape of sour-milk products in implementation”. 

Second degree diploma was awarded to undergraduate N.Pokrovskaya for work "The Impact of phytopreparations on agents of fungal infection in animals", the diploma of the third degree - students F.Nurumbetova, Zh.Seitkerim, B.Endibay , A.Bakhtiyar  "The Impact of the correction of vision on the microbial landscape of the conjunctiva of the eye patients with myopia".

In addition to practical training for students of SSSM were organized cultural events: the visit of the Museum of KSMU, a tour of the University buildings, in the Regional Museum, the Museum of memory of victims of political repression (Karlag).

The classes were lively, emotional and active discussion of all the reports and presentations, communication, exchange of traditions between students coming from other universities of Kazakhstan.
