In anticipation of Kazakhstani People Language Day in September 17, 2014 KSU "Karaganda Regional Universal Scientific Library named after Nikolai Gogol", the Department of Culture, archives and documents of the Karaganda region held the literary and informative competition «Мен бір жұмбақ адаммын...» dedicated to the memory of the great poet Abay Kunanbaev. The students of all Karaganda universities took part in this competition.

The members of students’ author and poetic club «Жыр Жауһар» of Karaganda State Medical University were sent to this competition by the Department of Educational and Social Work with Students (hereinafter - DE and SW). They are Смағұл Назгүл (3-033 GM), Байназар Нұрлыайым (4-013 GM), Мекенбай Нұрлыбек (2-033 GM), Есқараев Дәурен (4-013 GМ), Садыхова Дана (4-034 GМ), Слямбек Самал (1-001 ОH).

The competition consisted of five stages:

1.  «Абайды білмек парыз ойлы жасқа» (the questions connected with the life and works of Abay)

2.   «Білгенгемаржан, Білмескеарзан» (to continue any Abay’s poem)

3. «Өлдідеугесиямаойландаршы, Өлмейтұғынартынасөзқалдырған» (to find the location of Abay’s monuments)

4. «Мақсұтым – тілұстартыпөнершашпақ» (meaning and significance understanding, the meaning disclosure of Abay’s «Қарасөздер»)

5. «Құлақтанкіріпбойдыалар» (Abay’s songs singing)

Our students coped with all the stages worthily.  In the opinion of the jury they became unconditional WINNERS.
