Topical issues of HIV / AIDS in the Republic of Kazakhstan

On November 27 of this year in the lecture hall of the main building number 301 KSMU scientific sector KSSU KSMU organized a roundtable discussion on "Current issues of HIV / AIDS in the Republic of Kazakhstan" with the participation of the head of the department of preventive work of Karaganda Regional Center for the Prevention and Control of AIDS Nagima Tashtaevna Tulekbayeva. The purpose of the round table was the topical issues such as raising awareness of students and staff of KSMU in the identification, treatment and prevention of HIV infection, discrimination and preservation of tolerance towards people living with HIV / AIDS in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Moderators of the roundtable are the members of the scientific sector of  CSSG KSMU Musakhanov Bekbolat and Isak Zhasulan showed information slide and a video, which fully covered all the most important and basic aspects, features, and vulnerability to HIV / AIDS. The students performed it not only from the scientific point of view, but also from creative. Thus, a student of the medical college of KSMU Beybitbekova Nazerke read a poem of her own composition, and Abdramanov read verse monologue describing the brief but full of pain and regret the life of an infected person with such a bad the disease. The guest of the Roundtable - Nagima Tashtaevna told those present about the seriousness of the disease and the history of its occurrence in Kazakhstan, the first steps of local doctors in the fight against AIDS. According to Nagima Tashtaeva, a special effect was given by her some professional facts that have been ccumulated over the years. It's one thing to read the news, adding information to their knowledge, and quite another - to hear and support their vital facts from the lips of a specialist. Continuing words, of the guests of the round table, Aizhan Khamzina read a paper on "HIV / AIDS in Kazakhstan", providing information to students about statistics, methods of control and prevention, on state-provided social protection of persons infected with human immunodeficiency virus.

The round table results were summarized by the head of the scientific sector of CSSG KSMU Temirlan Samatov, who once again stressed the importance and relevance of the topic for us, the future of health workers.
