Grant Scheme to facilitate the Participation of Eastern Partnership/Central Asian Countries in the ASEAN-EU STI Days 2015 in Paris

12 January 2015

This grant scheme will financially support the participation of local researchers from Eastern Partnership and Central Asian countries in the ASEAN-EU STI Days 2015, on 17-19 March 2015, in Paris (www.stidays.net). The thematic priorities of the call are the two Societal Challenges HEALTH (more precisely Infectious Diseases or Chronic Lung Diseases) and ENVIRONMENT (Water-Energy-Food Nexus or Water Management under Climate Uncertainty). There will be 1 grant per country per Societal Challenge available.

This large-scale event with a high number of European stakeholders and a dedicated matchmaking session on the above scientific fields provide an excellent arena for researchers to liaise and develop synergies, therefore the participation of researchers from the targeted countries will increase their opportunities to get involved and be taken on board in consortia set up in EU MS/AC countries. It will also allow the researchers to make their institutions and/or their research networks better known.

One grant per country will be financed. A simple form for applications is available below. The selection criteria include scientific excellence, good knowledge of English as well as existing international contacts/networks. Supported researchers are expected the present their own scientific activity as well as the research landscape of their home country on the given scientific field. A focus group meeting about STI cooperation between the EU and the EaP/CA region will be also organised. The selection will be made by the Local Partners, supported and approved by the task leader and the coordinator.

Should you have any questions please feel free to contact our Strategic development and international cooperation department at 50-39-30 (ext.246), room 212.

Applicants should fill in the application form.
