A master class "Theory and Practice of Suicidology"

A master class on "The Theory and Practice of Suicidology" was held at the Department of the basics of psychology and communicative skills with a course of nursing care of KSMU on January 26-30, 2015.

The teachers of the master class:

Matsievskaya Larissa Leonardovna - Head of the deparment of basics of psychology and communicative skills, Psychiatrist and psychotherapist of the highest category;

Chekanov Dmitrii Mikhailovich - Assistant of the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology, psychotherapist.

Issues of Suicidology - causes, motives of suicidal intents in the context of contemporary social problems, types of suicide attempts, gender, age, cultural aspects of the problem of suicide were discussed at the master- class.

Practical skills of the suicidologycal interview and psychotherapeutic model of suicidologicfal assistance also were trained in the group of listeners. The master-class was attended by 32 people: teachers – psychologists of KSMU and KSU of. EA Buketov, psychologists of medical establishments of Karaganda region. The listeners’ reviews are positive.
