Since 2012, the Karaganda Medical University has been implementing three educational programs for PhD doctoral studies: "Medicine", "Public Health", "Pharmacy", since 2014 - the educational program "Technology of pharmaceutical production". In 2020, the first set of doctoral students for the educational program "Nursing Science" was carried out.

Since the beginning of the implementation of doctoral studies educational programs, 164 doctoral students have enrolled, 85 people have completed their studies, 50 doctoral dissertations have been successfully defended, 49 graduates have been awarded PhD degrees, 67 people continue their studies.

Doctoral educational programs are carried out in an educational environment that meets modern healthcare and personal development's regulatory requirements and needs. Doctoral educational programs are developed following fundamental training principles, combining the educational process and scientific research.
