Annex 1 to the Regulations on the center of simulation and educational technologies

LECTURER AND TRAINER CSET TO CONDUCT PRACTICAL TRAINING AT THE CENTER FOR SIMULATION AND EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES

1. Generalities

1.1.  "Schedule of practical training in the CSET" is submitted by the departments, 1 month before the start of classes in the CSC by filling out the calendar on the portal http://portal.qmu.edu.kz.

1.2.  The requirement for the issuance of training equipment is provided in electronic form by e-mail to the assistant coach of the CSET 1 day before the lesson.

1.3.  The number of dummies for practical training should correspond to the need, at the rate of 1 simulator for 3-4 students.

1.4.  When planning a practical lesson in the form of IWST in the presence of 2 groups per teacher, it is necessary:

To divide groups on offices and to use video surveillance (in one group demonstration of practical skill in another video surveillance of demonstration)

1.5. Create a video of the demonstration and use it in the classroom

1.6. Use electronic textbooks or pre-prepared methodological material.

1.7. Combining two groups in one study room is categorically unacceptable.

1.8.  The maximum amount of time (80%) is given to the development of

1. Generalities

1.1.  The schedule of practical training in the CSET is submitted to the responsible for providing classes in THE CSC from the departments at least 1 month before the start of classes in the CSET through the portal (http://portal.qmu.edu.kz) - section "Education / center of simulation and educational technologies". If it is impossible to use the portal, the schedule should be sent in electronic form to the inspector-Registrar. Within a week after receiving information from the Department, the CSC compares it with the availability of free training rooms and equipment and notifies the responsible person from the Department about the need to make changes.

1.2.  Delivery of the training equipment is made by the assistant trainer according to standard requirements, proceeding from the schedule of occupations. If it is necessary to make changes to the standard requirement, the teacher of the Department / coach of THE CSET notifies the inspector-Registrar of the CSC responsible for scheduling, by e-mail at least one day before the lesson.

1.3.  In case of impossibility of satisfaction of requirements (equipment breakage or its inaccessibility) the inspector-Registrar not less than 3 days prior to employment notifies the teacher of Department/the trainer of CSET of need to provide the new requirement or to correct the plan of employment.

2.  Reminder to the teacher to prepare for the lesson in the CSC

2.1.  The teacher of the Department / coach of the CSET should come to the CSET 15-20 minutes before the start of classes.

2.2.  The teacher of the Department/coach of the CSET should wear a robe (with a badge) and replacement shoes.

2.3.  During practical training, the material responsibility for the equipment and medical equipment specified in the requirement is assigned to the teacher of the Department/coach of the CSET. Before the beginning of the lesson, the teacher of the Department/coach of the CSC is obliged to check the mannequins and equipment for serviceability.

2.4.  The training journal of practical classes in the CSET is issued by the inspector-Registrar before the start of the class.

2.5.  It is necessary to check the availability of replacement shoes, Bathrobe and cap for students. In their absence, the student is not allowed to class.

2.6.  During classes, the teacher of the Department/coach of the CSET should be in the study room with the group or monitor the process of mastering skills with the help of a video surveillance system.

2.7.  At independent work of students, by appointment in Department of registration development of practical skills is carried out according to the methodical recommendations developed by Department.

2.8.  The group should be released for a break in a strictly allotted time, according to the schedule of breaks in the CSET. It is necessary to finish classes in a timely manner, according to the schedule.

2.9.  After the end of classes it is necessary to check the availability and serviceability of equipment and medical equipment. If problems are detected, immediately inform the CSET administration.

2.10.  The teacher of the Department/coach of the CSET must hand over the study room to the assistant coach, who checks the availability and serviceability of training equipment and medical equipment, malfunction or loss of equipment is recorded in the requirement.

2.11.  The teacher of the Department / coach OF the CSET should hand over the completed training journal of practical classes to the inspector-Registrar of the CSET.

3.  Conducting classes on the development of practical skills

3.1.  The practical lesson begins with an explanation of the purpose and objectives, providing methodological material approved by the Committee of educational programs in the specialty, and explaining the plan of implementation of skills to students.

3.2.  The teacher of the Department/coach of the CSET should assess the level of theoretical preparation of students for the development of practical skills (no more than 15 minutes).  Detailed theoretical analysis of the material should be carried out at the Department or during independent work of students according to pre-compiled guidelines. In the absence of theoretical knowledge that prevent the active participation of the student in class, the lecturer/trainer CSET entitled to count the student absent in class with further refinement of this lesson.

3.3.  The teacher of the Department / coach of the CSET demonstrates the implementation of practical skills on mannequins using the necessary medical equipment. Video recordings or electronic textbooks can be used. During classes, all students should be actively involved in the learning process.

3.4.  During the lesson, after demonstrating the manipulation technique, students should start training on mannequins / dummies under the supervision of the teacher/coach of the CSET. The teacher of the Department / coach of the CSET monitors the work of groups, moving from office to office, or using video surveillance. In case of insufficient number of simulators, it is possible to rotate several skills (if they are taught in one lesson)

3.5.  When conducting a clinical scenario, the teacher of the Department/coach of the CSET can divide the group into two subgroups, with one subgroup performing the clinical scenario, the other evaluating, and vice versa. The second subgroup may be in the surveillance room.

3.6.  After the execution of the clinical scenario, debriefing is conducted, using a video recording of the students ' skills, where mistakes and achievements are discussed. When conducting classes with video recording, it is necessary to inform the maintenance engineer of the training equipment in advance.

3.7.  Consolidation of the material is carried out with the help of independent work of students by appointment in the CSET on weekdays after lunch and Saturday.

3.8.  The assessment for the completed skill can be made during the lesson or after the assessment of videos of independent work of students.

Note: the order of classes can be changed in accordance with the goals and objectives of a particular class.

Video surveillance is conducted in the CSET. In case of non-compliance with the above requirements, the administration of the CSET has the right to request an explanatory and make a Memorandum addressed to the head of the Department or Vice-rector for academic work to take appropriate measures.
