The Department of Paediatrics was founded on the 21 of March, 2005 by the order of the rector of KSMA No.172 at the Faculty of postgraduate education and continuous professional development. The department provides training on the following specialties: Pediatric Surgery, Pediatrics, Urology, Andrology. The main cycles are as follows: children’s diseases, neonatology, pediatric cardiology, rheumatology, pulmonology, gastroenterology, nephrology, endocrinology, allergology and immunology, hematology, emergency care at the outpatient and inpatient stages, children’s infectious diseases, pediatric surgery, emergency surgery in children, minimally invasive surgery, endovideosurgical intervention in pediatric surgery, urology, andrology, etc. The first Head of the Department of Pediatrics since 2005 to 2009 was the doctor of medicine, associate professor K. B. Zhaktayeva. Since January 2010, the Department of Pediatrics has been renamed and became known as the Department of Pediatric Surgery, Andrology, Urology, with the course of Pediatrics. The head of the Department of Pediatric Surgery, Andrology, Urology and Pediatrics Course was M.S. Askarov-doctor of medicine, associate professor. Since January 2012, the Department was renamed as the Department of Pediatrics, Neonatology with the course of Urology, Andrology and pediatric surgery. B. A. Abeuova, doctor of medicine, professor, was appointed as the head of the Department of Pediatrics  and Pediatric Surgery.

  Since September 2017 the Department of Perinatology has been attached to the Department of Paediatrics.

In 1989, Abeuova Bibigul Amangeldiyevna had graduated with honors from Almaty State Medical Institute, on "Pediatrics" specialty.

From 1989 to 1991 she has studied in clinical residency at the Department of Children’s Disease in Medical Faculty of ASMI. From 1991 to 1994, she has been a post graduate student of the same department. In early 1994, she defended her thesis on the topic: "Clinical-laboratory and roentgenologic characteristics of glomerulonephritis, combined with congenital anomalies and urinary tract infection in children." Since 1994, she was an assistant professor of Children’s Diseases of Medical Faculty of ASMI. Since 2003 she was an associate professor of the same department. Since 2005, she had been studied at the doctorate programme in Kazakh National Medical University. She defended her doctoral dissertation in early October 2007. From October 2007 to August 2009, she had been working as the head of the Department of Children's Diseases and Pediatric Surgery, Medical University of Kazakhstan. From September 2009 to August 2011, she had been working as the deputy principal of post-graduate training at the Department of Pediatrics of the Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov. Since September 2011, she has worked as an associate professor of Pediatric Surgery, Andrology, Urology, with the course of Pediatrics of the Faculty of Continuous Professional Development. Since January 2012 she is the head of the Department of Pediatrics, Neonatology with a course of Urology, Andrology and Pediatric Surgery. B. A. Abeuova is the author of more than 200 scientific works, the owner of two patents for the treatment of glomerulonephritis and nephrotic syndrome in children, 5 manuals, two practical recommendations. She is a pediatrician of higher qualification and certified in pediatric nephrology. She is a member of the Union of pediatricians of Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan Association of Nephrology, Russian dialysis society.

Staff of the Department:

In 1964, Professor Kenzhebayeva Kulzhikesh Asylhanovna had graduated from Almaty State Medical Institute with honors in "Pediatrics" spesialty in 1964.Since 1964 to 1966, she had been working as an intern researcher in the neurology department of KazSII of Maternal and Child Health. In 1966-1969 she  had been studying  in employer-sponsored  graduate program at the Institute of Pediatrics of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the USSR. After graduation she defended her thesis on "The role of birth asphyxia in the etiology of neuro-psychological development of children." Since 1969 to 1975 she had been working as a senior research fellow at the neurological department of KazSII of Maternal and Child Health. In February 1975 she was transferred to Karaganda State Medical University. Since then, she had been working as an assistant and since 1981 as associate professor of Pediatrics Hospital.  Then she was a head of neonatology course. Since April 2005, K.A. Kenzhebayeva had been working as an assistant professor of the Department of Pediatrics PF and CPD  KSMU. Since January 2010, she is an associate professor of Pediatric Surgery, Urology and Andrology Course of Pediatrics. K.A. Kenzhebayeva is an experienced methodist, talented educator, who teaches in official and Russian languages, qualified doctor-neonatologist, pediatric neurologist. She is the author of more than 170 scientific articles, 10 manuals, 3 of them were published in the official language, the monograph "Intracranial birth trauma in newborns" (Moscow, 1976), "Handbook of physiological standards for infants and young children" (published in 1999, reprinted in 2005), "Drug treatment of diseases of the nervous system in young children (according to evidence-based medicine)." K.A. Kenzhebayeva is the author of "Neonatology" section in the "Guidelines for Classification of Diseases". She is one of the authors of the, "Tests for self-training" collection of specialists under the "Neonatology" chapter..

For the time of work, K.A. Kenzhebayeva was repeatedly awarded diplomas of the university, the Health Department of the Karaganda region, gratitude letters of MH RK. She is an excellent worker of health care since 2000, since 2001she had been working as Professor Emeritus of KSMA, since 2009 she became the owner of the "Honorary Worker of Education." badge K.A. Kenzhebayeva is the doctor-neonatologist of the highest category, pediatric neurologist of highest category, a veteran of labor.

In 1980, Professor Yeryomicheva Galina Georgiyevna had graduated from Karaganda Medical School, in 1993 from Karaganda State Medical Institute, specializing in "Pediatrics" specialty. G.G. Yeryomicheva had been training in internship on the basis of child health clinics, the Saran, where she had been working as a district doctor until 1994. Since 1994 she was working as a senior laboratory specialist at the outpatient department of pediatrics, 1995 - assistant in the Department of Hospital Pediatrics. In 2006 G.G. Yeryomicheva defended her thesis on "The defeat of the stomach in children with duodenogastric reflux."

Since 2007 G.G. Yeryomicheva had been working as an assistant, since 2010 she is the associate  professor. G.G. Yeryomicheva is the pediatrician of the highest qualification, pediatric gastroenterologist of the highest qualification. She has more than 70 published works, three teaching manuals.

G.G. Yeryomicheva wrote the "Pediatric Gastroenterology" section in the "Guidelines for classification of diseases". She is a member of "The branch of the Union of pediatricians of the Karaganda region". During her working in KSMU G.G. Yeryomicheva was repeatedly awarded.

In 1989, Professor Kuzgibekova Almagul Bolatovna after the graduation from Karaganda Medical Institute, specializing in "Pediatrics", completed an internship in the Volgograd of RF, on the basis of medical school and the regional children's hospital. In 1990-1991 she worked as a pediatrician in rural district hospitals in Akchatau, Zhezkazgan  From 1992 till 1995 she studied in postgraduate programme at KSMA. She defended her thesis on the topic "Risk factors, clinical features of the period of rehabilitation in children with disorders of the gastrointestinal tract and the ways of their correction." In 1996-2000 A.B. Kuzgibekova worked as an assistant, and then as associate professor of propaedeutics of childhood diseases, since 2000 she worked as associate professor at the Faculty of Pediatrics. From September 2003 to January 2011 A.B. Kuzgibekova was the dean of the Faculty of Oriental Medicine and Pediatrics, and then the dean of the Faculty of General Medicine and Dentistry. Since January 2011 A.B. Kuzgibekova works as the associate professor of pediatric surgery, urology and andrology with the course of therapy. A.B. Kuzgibekova is the pediatrician of the highest, qualification an,care sabject a member of "The branch of the Union of pediatricians of the Karaganda region" independent assessor of the activity of health. Since 2004, A.B. Kuzgibekova is an internal auditor for quality, quality manager. A.B. Kuzgibekova is currently one of 16 national experts on accreditation of medical education organizations of the RK.

A.B. Kuzgibekova was a Head of International External Commission of Experts on Institutional and Specialized Accreditation. She is the winner of the Republican contest of achievements in the field of invention "Shapagat - 2012" in the nomination of "The woman - inventor ". A.B. Kuzgibekova was awarded with medals named  after Leibniz (2012) and M. Pettenkofer by the European scientific community for her contribution to science. She is the owner of an educational grant of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel (2013). She is also the owner of the "Bolashak" international scholarship (2014). Kuzgibekova A.B.  is the nominee of the"Best in Profession" Republican contest in the category "The Best Independent Expert" (2015). The owner of the "Honorary Worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan " badge (2004 ), " Excellent worker of health care of RK" (2012 )  A.B. Kuzgibekova was repeatedly awarded with diplomas of the university, the Regional Health Department, the Head of Karaganda region, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan

A.B. Kuzgibekova published more than 120 scientific publications, including manuals, guidelines, monographs and she is the owner of the innovation patents.

The Head of the World Health Organization grant on "Awareness and development of measures for the formation of skills of the population to contain antimicrobial resistance (2015).

Assosiate Professor Zhumakanova Kamshat graduated Karaganda State Medical Academy on thes "Pediatrics" specialty in 2000. She completed an internship on the basis of the Regional Children's Hospital in Karaganda.

 In 2001-2004, she was the senior laboratory assistant of the department of resuscitation of KSMA. In 2006-2009 she was a pediatrician at the reception center of "Children's Hospital No. 3" in Karaganda.

 Since 2009, she worked as an assistant of the Department of Children's Diseases No.2. From 2010 to 2012 she studied at the KSMU master’s programme, defended the master's thesis on the topic "Invalidating factors of risks in children with Congenital heart descales up to are you ", her scientific supervisor was professor B.T. Tukbekova From 2013 to 2016 she studied at the doctoral on the studies "Medicine" specialty.

October 24, 2016 defended her doctoral thesis on the topic "Cytokine profile of premature, delivery due to different timing of gestation, "scientific superviser is adviser MD, professor B.A. Abeuova She awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) on April 25, 2017. She is doctor-pediatrician of the highest qualification and has a certificate of a neonatologist. Since September 2017, she is associate professor of the Department of Pediatrics and Perinatology.

Pak Irina Vladimirovna graduated from the Karaganda State medical Institute on "Medical care" specialty in 1974. After graduation, she completed  internship in 1974-1975  and  worked as  obstetrician - gynecologist in maternity hospital  No of Karaganda. Passed clinical residency, after which she worked as an assistant of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. In 1996, she defended a dissertation for scientific degree as candidate of medical sciences on the topic: "The state of lipid peroxidation and system of antioxidant protection in a risk of miscarriage and threatened miscarriage".
In 2001 she proceed to the degree of associate professor. 

From 1999 to 2002 – associate Professor, head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

I. V. Pak published study letter  " Miscarriage " for
