History of the department

Doctors training is carrying out at the department on cycles of retraining and improving of qualification, including offsite cycles, on 11 specialties (therapy, geriatrics, nephrology, gastroenterology, rheumatology, hematology, pulmonology, endocrinology, transfusiology, functional diagnostics, toxicology) and also training of residents, masters, РhD-doctorates. Geography of listeners is wide, includes regions of Karaganda region (Zhezkazgan, Balkhash, Priozersk, Satpayev, Temirtau, Shakhtinsk, Saran, Karkaralinsk, Abay, Shetsk area, Aktas, Aktogay area), and the whole Kazakhstan (Kostanay, Pavlodar, Atyrau, Shymkent, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kyzylorda, Astana, Petropavlovsk, Uralsk, Rudniy, Kokshetau, Lisakovsk, Aktobe, Semipalatinsk, Zhanaozen).Innovation technologies are used in the education training, such as(interactive lecture, methods PBL, TBL, CBL, Project-based learning); new cycles are introduced: «Innovation technologies in nephrology. Percutaneous biopsy of kidneys under ultrasonography control» on specialty «Nephrology», «Medical emergencies in cardiology » on specialty «Therapy», «Actual problems of hepatology » on specialty «Gastroenterology». Department staff is conducting lectures in education-clinical center on discipline «Ambulance and emergency medical service » on specialty «Therapy»,cycle training "Practical course on the art medical manipulations".

The regular staff of the department consists of 5 persons.

L.G. Turgunova - doctor of medical sciences, professor. In 1991 she graduated with honors from Karaganda State Medical Institute with a major in medicine. After that she completed a clinical internship at the Department of Hospital Therapy №1 and became an assistant at the same department. In 1996 Dr. Turgunova defended her thesis. In 2002, she became an assistant professor. From 2002 to 2005 she studied in the doctoral program. She defended her doctoral thesis in 2006 and obtained a degree of Doctor of Medicine in 2007. In 2011, the Committee for Control of Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science awarded Dr. Turgunova the title of professor. Since 2012 to 2014 she worked as a head of the Department of Internal Medicine №2. Since September 2´2014 to the present time she has been working as a head of the department of therapeutic disciplines of the Continuing Professional Development Faculty.

Dr. Turgunova is an author of 27 training manuals and guidelines, about 200 publications and a co-author of a collection of tests and the "Hematology" part of the Classification Guide. She has prepatents and certificates of intellectual property. Dr. Turgunova is a highest qualification category therapist, the first qualifying category hematologists. She is a Chairman of the Committee of educational programs EAA KSMU by specialty of postgraduate education.She is curator in "Hematology" residency.

N.S. Umbetalina - doctor of medical sciences, professor.In 1968, she graduated with honor Karaganda state medical institute. Since 1970 up to 1973 she was studying in postgraduate studentship at the therapy department of COLMRI of doctors in Moscow city. She defended her candidate dissertation on the theme: «Features of clotting at patients with chronic pneumonia».She is a highly skilled teacher knowing features of teaching of discipline –internal diseases, consistently worked on the department: propaedeutic of internal diseases faculty and hospital therapy.  In 1994 she defended her doctoral dissertation on the theme: «Early diagnostics and rehabilitation of students with diseases of a therapeutic profile». In 1995, she received the academic title of professor.Since 1996 up to 2003 she was a head of hospital therapy department. Since 2003 up to March 2005 she was working as vice-principle on questions of scientific and pedagogical experiment. She is the author of more than 300 printing papers, including foreign and neighboring countries, 2 monographs, number of methodical recommendations and manuals, 11 patents, advisor of 12 dissertations, 4 master’s papers and 3 Рh-D dissertation. She introduces results of scientific researches in to the educational process and practical public health care, shows the creative relation to pedagogical process, readiness for innovations and actively participates in implementation of the projects devoted to problems of improvement of medical education. She was repeatedly involved in the development of normative documents of MH RK; participated in development of Standards of additional medical education, Qualification characteristics of experts, she entered into the working group on development of the Concept of medical and pharmaceutical education, Periodic protocols of diagnostics and treatment of diseases. She repeatedly conducted expert valuation of the typical programs of disciplines of the medical specialties in the Ministry of Education and Science of RK. In 2006 and 2007she was a chairman of State attestation committee in Kazakh State Medical Academy. N.S. Umbetalina has made a great work on realization and implementation of scientific-pedagogical experiment in KSMA on development of concept approach of adaptation of state standards of medical education to international education and credit system of education. She participated in development of number of documentation of Quality management. She has a certificate «Quality assurance manager». During 10 years N.S.Umbetalina was the head hematologist of MH of RK. Since 2010, she was working as independent medical expert of MH of RK, member of Association of independent medical experts of Karaganda region. She has the highest qualification category of doctor-therapist, certificates on nephrology, rheumatology, hematology, pulmonology. She was awarded the title «ҚазақстанРеспубликасыденсаулықсақтауісініңүздігіне». To 60 years anniversary of the University she was awarded the medal, certificates of honor of MH of RK, National Medical Association and certificate of Management of public health care of Karaganda region in connection with celebration of 20 years of independent of RK.  Professor N.S. Umbetalina is the President of Public association «Association of therapists and specialist of therapeutic profile of Karaganda city», thus supporting close connection and rendering active help to practical doctors. She is curator in "Endocrinology" in residency.

Т.К. Dyusembaeva is a candidate of medical sciences, docent. In 1970, she graduated Karaganda State Medical Institute. Since 1972 up to 1975 she was studying in postgraduate studentship at Medical institute n.a. Sechenov. She defended the candidate dissertation on the theme « Some indicators of cellular immunity at system lupus erythematosis». Since 1975 up to 1980 she was working as assistant of faculty therapy department of KSMI. Since 1980 up to 1993 she worked as assistant, then as docent of therapy department №1 of Alma-Ata state institute of doctors improving. Since 1994 she was working as docent of therapy department of eastern division, since 1999 – as docent of internal diseases department №2, since 2005 year and till the present moment she works as the docent of therapy disciplines department of FCPD. She is very talented pedagogue, teaching on state and Russian languages. She is marked by students as the best lecturer. She has 90 printed papers including educational and methodical manuals, methodical recommendations, Certificates about state registration of intellectual property object. She is a high qualified therapist of wide profile with the highest qualification category. She has certificates on rheumatology, hematology, pulmonology and nephrology. Since 2010 she has worked as an independent medical expert of MH of RK, member of Association of independent medical experts of Karaganda region, member of PA «Association of therapist and specialist of therapeutic profile of Karaganda city». She awarded the pin «ҚазақстанРеспубликасыденсаулықсақтауісініңүздігіне», certificate of honor of MH of RK. In 2012 she was awarded the diploma «The best therapist of KSMU». She has gratitude of the university. She is curator of 2 specialties for additional professional education, curator of the specialty "Rheumatology" in residency

А.М. Zhussupova is a candidate of medical sciences, docent. In 1998 year she graduated with honor Karaganda state medical academy. In 2000 she graduated clinical internship on specialty «General Practice Doctor». In 2005 she graduated postgraduate studentship on specialty «Internal Diseases». In2007 year she defended the candidate dissertation on the theme «Clinical-hematology evaluation of efficiency of a vegetable preparation salsocoline in complex therapy of iron deficiency anemia ». She is the author and co-author of more than 60 printed papers, where there is 1 educational and methodical manual, 3 methodical recommendations, 3 Certificates about state registration of intellectual property object. She is a doctor-therapist of the highest qualification category. She has certificates on adult nephrology and adult hematology. She took a part in development «Regulation about the department of FPE and CPI», Standard of additional professional education and typical educational program on specialty «Hematology (adult)», tests on specialty «Transfusion medicine» at the MH of RK level. She was the member of organizing committee of the III international scientific and practical conference «Actual questions of hematology and internal diseases» (2009), republican scientific and practical conference «Demography situation in the Republic: problems and perspectives» (2010), international scientific and practical conference «Extragenital pathology of pregnant: actual problems and solutions » (2013). She was training in Tel-Aviv (Israel), in 2010 year, on the cycle «Transfusion Medicine». In 2014 year she seconded through the MH RK (Committee monitoring the medical and pharmaceutical activities in Astana) to serve on the commission to review cases of maternal death in the East Kazakhstan region, Ust-Kamenogorsk. She is curator of 4 specialties, Secretary of the Committee of educational programs EAA KSMU by specialty of post-graduate education. She has gratitude of the University.

Т.А. Baesheva is a candidate of medical science, docent.  In 1990 she graduated Karaganda state medical institute. After internship passing she worked as a district doctor in Central district hospital of Derzhavinsk city of Turgay region. Since 1996 she worked as doctor-laboratory assistant, further as assistant of the hospital therapy department of KSMI. She was working as Methodist on rating of the Faculty of KSMA (2003-2004 years.), Methodist of scientific and pedagogical experiment department (2004-2006 years) with the further shifting to the post of head of the given department (2006-2008 year). Since 2008 she was an assistant, and since 2009 and till the present moment she works as docent of therapeutic disciplines of the department of FCPD. In 2006 she defended a candidate’s dissertation on the theme: «Clinical and biochemical criteria of the forecast of a course of stomach ulcer of a stomach and duodenum ». She has 1 patent, 65 printed papers, including 1 educational and practical manual, methodical recommendations, Certificates about state registration of intellectual property object.She took a part in development of«Regulation of rating system of evaluation of activity of the Faculty of KSMA», «Regulation about division: department of scientific and pedagogical experiment», «Regulation about Master’s program », creation of post descriptions for SPE department. In 2011 she worked as the secretary of State Attestation Committee on total attestation of students in the Master’s program, dean’s deputy of FCPD. She was a member of organizing committee of international scientific and practical conference «Extragenital pathology of pregnant: actual problems and solutions » (2013). She is the Methodist of the highest category, ultrasonic diagnosis doctor of the second category; she has certificates on therapy and gastroenterology. She is curator of 3 specialties, responsible for scientific-research work at the department; she was training at Master’s program, she is a secretary of PA «Association of therapists and specialist of therapeutic profile of Karaganda city».She has gratitude from the university, rector KSMU letter of thanks for their participation screening population Buhar-Zhyrau district under the state program of development of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Calamatty Kazakhstan" for 2011-2015

I.V. Bacheva is Master of medical sciences. In2000, she graduated Karaganda state medical academy, since 2009 till 2011 she was training in 2 years Master’s program on scientific-pedagogue direction on specialty 6М110100Medicine. She defended with honor master dissertation on the theme: «Violation of a lipidic exchange and possibility of its correction at patients with chronic the glomerulonephritis». Since2008to 2014 she works as assistant of the department of therapeutic disciplines of FCPD. Has the second qualification doctor’s category – cardiologist and certificate on nephrology. She has certificates about state registration of intellectual property object, 30 printed papers, including 1 educational and methodic manual and methodic recommendation. In 2012 year she was awarded the diploma «The best young assistant of KSMU». She is a curator of 2 specialties, responsible for training in residency, РhD-students and a member of PA «Association of therapeutist and specialist of therapeutic profile of Karaganda city».Since 2014 she enrolled in PhD-doctoral, part-time assistant of the department.

The main scientific directions are the questions of perfecting of diagnosis and treatment of extragenital pathology of pregnant women. Since 2014 prof. L.G. Turgunova and docent T.A. Baesheva involved in doing research on the topic "Environmental risks and health» (№ state registration 0114 RC 00302). Every year the department’s staff reports at scientific and practical conferences and publishes more than 40 printing papers, including together with doctors of practical health care in editions of republican and international importance. 40 proposals for improvement of treatment-diagnosis process are introduced to the practical health care (nephrology, hematology division of Regional Clinical Hospital, Regional Medical Center and Family Doctoral Laboratory of Karaganda city.
