Nauryz - is the main holiday of the year, as the Kazakhs and many peoples of Asia celebrate it more than five thousand years. Nauryz is a celebration of spring, renewal of nature and the beginning of a new year, a new life. Nauryz holiday has pagan root. This is a celebration of nature worship. Nauryz is celebrated on March 22 at the vernal equinox. On this day, the heavenly bodies: constellations and stars after a year's cycle come to the point of their initial stay and begin a new path.

Nauryz, passing from century to century, brings happiness and well-being of the living generations, gives them confidence in the future. Every year Nauryz celebration has become a tradition at the Department of Children^’s Infectious Diseases, and this year was no exception.

On March 18, 2015, the Department hosted a concert dedicated to the holiday Nauryz. Students of 4-014, 4-015, 4-032, 4-039, 4-057,4-091, 4-066 groups of the Faculty of General Medicine actively participated in the organization of the festival.

Festively decorated hall, bright posters with congratulations elated everybody entered the room. All guests were met with richly covered dastarkhan. Guests have been treated with a national holiday dish Nauryz kozhe and baursaks. The festive program included: singing and dancing, kui, national ceremonies and etc.

Audience particularly remembered the rite "Tusakesu", which included medical items, and the national dance "Kara Zhorga" masterfully performed by the students of the Faculty of General Medicine of 4-066 group. Vocal duo Vadim Frolov and Bainazar Nurlayym with the patriotic song "Tuganzher" was accompanied with prolonged applause.

Moderators of concert Aman Asym and Zeinullin Gulziya told a lot of new and interesting things about the history of the holiday. Throughout the concert hall, very warm, festive atmosphere was felt.

After the concert, students and members of the department heard congratulations from the head of the department of youth policy and social work with students Zhumabekova B., Deputy Dean of the Faculty of General Medicine Elubaeva M.K., Head of the independent labour union Nauryzbekov N.N. and head of the department of children^’s infectious diseases, Professor R.H. Begaydarova. Rose Hasanovna thanked all the students involved in the organization of such a large and very bright concert.

Employees of the department congratulate all the colleagues on this wonderful holiday and wished spring warmth, good health, a lot of flowers and attention!
