Muravleva, the head of the department of surgical diseases №2, professor E.Turgunov, assistant professor of biochemistry N. All conditions and the opportunity to use any teaching methods most suited to the chosen themewere created at the faculty for our lecturers. The training took place in the form of lectures, presentations and group work. All classes are equipped with computers, projectors and special devices. The educational bases were placed in the Departments of Biochemistry and Surgery of the Faculty of Medicine of Ataturk University. Some workshops, where they discussed issues of oxidative processes in the pathogenesis of several diseases, databases in the field of genome, proteome, metabolome, etc.  were also conducted.

We want to express special acknowledgments  to Professor Ahmet Kiziltunc, the head of the Department of Biochemistry, who was responsible for his Kazakh colleagues and who gave us a warm welcome and support.

Of course, academic mobility involves addition of multicultural education, communication with colleagues and improving the teaching skills  and leaving your comfort zone. But instead of this you get a huge opportunity for personal growth, as we should have to solve new problems in unusual conditions, to change a job in another team in another language environment. Therefore, the mobility is important for creative people!

As a complement to the issue of the development of academic mobility in the university, I would like to offer to prepare a reserve for exchange programs and to generate the target group of students and teachers that want to participate in it, as well as to organize a special (thematic) language courses for these groups to acquire language certificates.

Neila Tankibayeva

Associate professor of the

Biochemistry department
