On the 3rd of December, 2015 the student of 1-009 group “General medicine” Nazym Battyrbek took part in the international scientific-practical conference for students and master-program students. The conference was dedicated to the 70-th anniversary of the United Nations Organization and was titled: “UNO: Global diplomacy in changing world”. The aim of the conference was to stimulate scientific-research activity of the students; to involve students into solving of contemporary scientific problems; to expose students’ intellectual potential. Students of various universities of Kazakhstan took part in the conference. The student of Karaganda State Medical University N. Battyrbek took the 2nd place in the session “Problems and prospective of the UNO official languages studying in Kazakhstan”. The article of the student written under the supervision of the senior teacher of the Foreign Languages Department A.S. Kelmaganbetova, included considerations upon the topic “Multicultural education in Kazakhstan”.

On the 30th of November, 2015 students of 1029,2-079 groups “General Medicine” of KSMU took part in the Universiade organized by Karaganda economic university of consumers’ co-operative. The event was held in honor of the 25th anniversary of Kazakhstan Independence. The aim of the contest was to reveal talented students of our city. The Universiade consisted of 3 rounds: introductory presentation of an alma mater; the multilingual quiz based on the history of sovereignty; public speech upon the given topic. Students, who had prepared their slide report about our university under the supervision of the teacher of the Foreign Languages Department T.G. Dashkina, were up to the challenge and were awarded with the letter of gratitude.

Foreign Languages Department of KSMU congratulates abovementioned students with their successful presentation of our university in the interuniversity events and wishes them further achievements in all spheres of professional and personal development.
