We are for a healthy future
Since 2020, the
National Program “We for a Healthy Future” dedicated to World Vaccination Day
for Human Papillomavirus (HPV) has been actively implemented in Kazakhstan.
The main goal of the program is to preserve and strengthen the health of the population by forming the right attitude to vaccination against HPV and the need for timely screening examinations, as the most effective method for the prevention of precancerous lesions.
The Activists of the Youth Affairs Department conducted a series of events dedicated to World HPV Vaccination Day.
The first step was to post the series of videos explaining to students and teachers of KMU the risk of HPV infection on the Educational TV, which is the main reason for the development of cervical cancer in women and the promotion of vaccination as the best means of protection against this virus.
The final chord of preventive measures was the holding in the sports hall of the dormitory No.4 of the futsal tournament under the motto "Students of Kazakhstan for a Healthy Lifestyle!" with the participation of teams of the universities of region.
In conclusion, we would like to note that vaccination prevents the occurrence of infection of the human papillomavirus and significantly reduces the risk of developing cervical cancer. Vaccination is especially recommended for women aged 9 to 25 years, to prevent infection with HPV.
Do not let bad habits ruin your life. Choose a healthy lifestyle! Remember: your health is in your hands!
