Our colleagues were trained in occupational pathology
From May 17 to May 28, 2021, doctors
of the «Mediker» medical center were trained by the employees of the "Medical
University of Karaganda" NJSC. This training was conducted with a trip to
the city of Zhanaozen, Mangistau region. The group from the university was
represented by: chief freelance occupational pathologist of the Republic of
Kazakhstan, chief physician of the professional health clinic of the PHC Institute
of «MUK»NJSC, doctor of medical sciences, professor of the department of internal
diseases - Amanbekova Aigul Ukenovna, occupational pathologist, doctor of
medical sciences, professor of the Department of Internal Diseases - Koigeldinova
Sholpan Sekerbaevna and freelance occupational pathologist of the Karaganda
region, head of the consultative and diagnostic department of the clinic of
professional health, Ph.D. - Akynzhanova Saule Akynzhanovna.
Practical doctors of various specialties participating in preventive medical examinations of industrial workers employed in hazardous working conditions of oil and gas refineries were given lectures and practical classes on the examination of professional suitability and the examination of establishing the connection of diseases with the profession, as well as on individual occupational diseases with analysis methods of diagnosis and treatment.
In the course of training, the current regulatory legal acts on conducting preliminary and periodic preventive medical examinations and examination of occupational diseases were analyzed in detail, as well as modern diagnostic methods in occupational pathology and scientific research data in this direction were presented. Practical exercises were carried out with an analysis of complex clinical cases, test control of current and final knowledge was carried out.As you know, the detection rate of occupational pathology in the Western region and, in particular, in the Mangistau region, is extremely low. Meanwhile, despite the improvement of technological processes at oil and gas processing and oil production enterprises, there is an impact on the body of workers of such harmful factors as hard physical labor with overstrain of individual organs and systems, vibration, industrial noise, and toxic substances of oil products at workplaces.
In this regard, the leaders of the Medical Center noted the great practical importance of this training in terms of improving the quality of preventive medical examinations, early detection and prevention of occupational diseases.
