Let their memory be eternal...

Let their memory be eternal...

07 November 2014

Have you ever thought how many people have contributed to our university?

2-003 and 2-004 groups of specialty"Pharmacy" had a unique opportunity to plunge into the history of our university, learn about rectors, professors, teachers and honor their memory. The main purpose of visiting the Staromihaylov cemetery was to remember Peter Moiseevich Pospelov, the founder of KSMI. He was the rector forover 24 years. On the eve of his birthday (he was born on November 6, 1903), we held a minute of silence as a gesture of respect and removed the dead leaves on his grave. We are very grateful to him for the University, which he founded, wherewe learnand study as the future doctors.

Flowers to the first rectoris laid by the student of the 2-003 group Olga Drygalo

Minute of silence in memory of Nikolai Arhipovich Hlopov, the third rector of KSMI,who was heading the University from 1984 to 1989.

Passing along the central avenue of the cemetery, we stopped at the grave of the founder of the Department of Biochemistry - Professor Valentina Iosifovna Jakubovskaya who headed the department for 35 years.

We bowed our heads as a gesture ofrespect to the one of the founders of the department of normal anatomy professor Zalmon Gershenovich Slobodin and his wife, Associate Professor of Ophthalmology, R.N. Shapiro.

We could not ignore the tomb of the Great Patriotic War veteran, Vice Rector for Clinical Affairs, Associate Professor of Social Hygiene and Public Health Organization, K.A. Antereykina.

We are grateful to the administration of the University and Senior Lecturer of Social Medicine and Public Health Organization department Naila Fuadbekovna Saifulina for the opportunity to touch the history of our university.
