As a part of the methodological week of the cyclic commission of special disciplines №2 of KSMU, medical college teachers together with the representatives of SI branch of CDM CES MIA of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Karaganda region held the event on the topic: “First aid in case of accident” for the 3rd and the 4th year students of the specialty "Medicine"

Vovk told about the psychological problems most encountered among participants of accidents, witnesses and health workers themselves at the time of emergency aid rendering. Several worked out methods that can effectively help the victims as well as physicians were shown.

The doctor of the first category E.V. Gavrilova gave details of the structure of disaster medicine service in Karaganda region, she also told about the goals and purposes of the organization and about the disaster medicine service equipment.

Using educational presentation she brought to the attention of future paramedics the classification of injuries occurring in an accident, the peculiarities of the clinical signs of multiple head, spine and internal organs injuries. Students also learned about the work of rescue workers carrying out technical work on extracting victims from damaged vehicles.

The paramedic of the highest category T.N. Oveznepesov demonstrated emergency aid rendering using MES mobile equipment on a simulation mannequin directly on the scene of accident and during transportation to the hospital with detailed explanations of each algorithm. Then the students tried themselves as a victim and physicians practicing algorithms of emergency in case of car accident.

College students wished success to the representatives of Disaster Medicine Centre and expressed hope that such meetings will become a good tradition.
