In honor of the 85th anniversary of the Kazakh National Medical University of S.D. Asfendiyarov, Institute of Postgraduate Studies of this university organized an international Turkish-Kazakhstani symposium "Accident and Emergency Medical Care", which was held on March 27-29 in Almaty.

Symposium was opened by rector of KazNMU A.A. Akanov and President of the Association of Emergency Medicine in Turkey professor Baṣar Candar.

Such sessions as cardiopulmonary resuscitation, cardiology, respiratory emergencies, neurology, internal medicine, trauma, and toxicology, which were filled with relevant academic, scientific and research reports, both from the Turkish side as well as by Kazakhstani participants were allocated in the program of the symposium.

Karaganda State Medical University was represented by the head of the department of Ambulance and Emergency Medical Care #1, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor A.R. Alpyssova with the report “Analysis of the Quality of Management of Patients with Complications Associated with Arterial Hypertension in the Ambulance Conditions”.

The symposium was held in an atmosphere of friendship, mutual understanding and close cooperation with the prospect of further exchange of experience in the field of emergency medicine and holding the next international symposium in June 2015 in Turkey.
