Facets of knowledge begin in studentship

27 April 2015

By the beginning of the 21st century, humanity has accumulated a huge scientific baggage, both practical and theoretical knowledge. But, despite this, in the new millennium every day more and more new research spaces, new areas of endless human ingenuity open in front of people. Therefore, only being aware of the critical importance of scientific progress in all spheres of human activity, you will be able in the future to achieve a truly high performance, become truly demand specialists.

Career in science begins with the Student Scientific Society. Some scientific ideas are turned into profound research while others turn out to be only projects that consecutively help other researchers in the future.

VI International Scientific Conference «SCIENCE4HEALTH 2015", which was attended by more than 250 students from different countries was held in the People’s Friendship University of Russia from April 14 to 18, 2015. Karaganda State Medical University was represented by the students of the 4th and 2nd year of General Medicine Adilet Kenzhebay and Aidan Kimil, circle members of the Department of Pathological Anatomy and Forensic Medicine, that carried out research under the direction of Head of Department Professor Maida Maskhapovna Tusupbekova.

The conference was held on 5 poster sessions, 21 sectional hearings, round-table discussions on actual problems of contemporary medicine, competitions, workshops from the leading experts, and included lectures in English and Russian languages.

Our students successfully presented their works in the sections of surgery, obstetrics and gynecology. Adilet Kenzhebay and Aidan Kimil reported «Патоморфологическаядиагностикаартериовенозноймальформации». It was rated by the jury as the best in the surgery section and awarded the I degree Diploma. Report aroused great interest, as this is a rare congenital disorder of brain vessels, often with a lethal outcome, presented from clinical practice in pregnant women. The presentation consisted of colorful photographs of macro- and microscopic view of the pathological process.

Dear students, keep pace with the time and do not miss the opportunities that are available to you at the university. Work in scientific circles already allows a student to practice clinical skills, raise the level of development of the subject, work with literature, acquire communication skills with their peers. Be passionate in your work and in your quest, and success will definitely come to you.

We express our deep gratitude to the Rector of KSMU Professor Raushan Sultanovna Dosmagambetova for the opportunity to reach new heights, to the Vice-Rector for Research Anar Akylbekovna Turmukhambetova for the good advice and help in preparing presentations!

Members of the Pathological Anatomy and Forensic Medicine Department’s circle – general medicine specialty’s the 4-year student Adilet Kenzhebay and the 2 year student Aidan Kimil.
