From 7 to 28 July 2015, students of the 4th year of the Faculty of "General Medicine and Stomatology", "Preventive medicine, biology and pharmacy," being trainees of the military department of Karaganda State Medical University held training period on base of military unit 36352 of Training center of regional command "Astana" in the village Spassk.

  Start of the way

July, 7, hot Tuesday morning, 58 students, accompanied by military police and the military department teachers, after briefing them on the security measures were referred to the military unit.On arrival, by the decision of the commander, students were stationed in the barracks.Teachers of the department brought to the personnel the schedule demonstrated the basic elements and rules of military service, introduced with the plan of the trainings.Military rhythm of life for the students, practical course "Young fighters", improvement of skills orderly, sanitary instructor, paramedic, and as the top – military doctor activity at the field, will allow future medical officers feel on their own experience the tension of military labor and responsibility for the health of troops.

According to the schedule of trainings, show of equipment and weapons was organized at the equipment fleet of the military unit. Each student had the opportunity to sit at the control levers formidable fighting machines and plunge into the atmosphere of combat under the guidance of experienced instructors.

In holidays and weekends, teachers of the military department together with cadets carried out sporting events where, individual results mentioned in a combat sheet recorder were revealed, along with team performance.Thus, each student tried to benefit the team and show the best personal result.

Also, the students, leading by officers of the department visited the memorial complex "Spassk" and expressed their tribute to the victims of repression.

Army life

On weekdays, after morning exercises and breakfast, with staff training company, the military department teachers held classes in the field, where all the students received practical skills and experience in the deployment of the brigade medical company, studied the organization and operation of the medical service, rendering of the first aid.

Practical shooting were conducted by cadets at the troop shooting Training Centre in anticipation of the adoption of the personnel of the military oath.With great desire and aspiration for the best performance, the personnel made target practice from the Kalashnikov rifle and Makarov pistol.The head of the military department, professor, colonel of medical service Amantay Mukanbaevich Mukhametzhanov, by his own example showed excellent practical skills in small arms, after this each student sought to repeat his good result.

Military oath of allegiance to the country and the people of the sovereign Kazakhstan were adopted by the cadets in a solemn ceremony in the presence of leadership of the Regional Command "Astana", KSMU administration officials, the military department teachers, parents, chairman of the regional council of veterans-Afghans, on July 18. This solemn act of state was a turning point in the minds of the students; they are internally felt responsible for the fate of their country and its defense.This day will remain forever in the memory of future medical officer’s reserve.

The commander of the military unit 36352 highly appreciated the level of military training of students of our department, compliance with military discipline and expressed deep gratitude to the administration of Karaganda State Medical University, the head of the military department, Colonel of medical service Amantay Mukanbaevich Mukhametzhanov and teaching staff for the productive and professional work in the development of future young officers, defenders of the Motherland.
