On behalf of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, withing the framework of the immunization campaign against measles employees of KSMU have conducted training workshops in Karaganda ( 10-11.09.2015 ) and Kostanai ( 22-23.09.2015 ) regions. 10 training workshops have been conducted during the 4 days of the campaign, 630 doctors, 170 nurses, 70 school health workers and 580 teachers were trained, the availability of 9 vaccination centres were tested.

The lively interest among the audience were provoked by the following reports: the reports of Professor B.N. Kosherova "The epidemiological situation of measles: all over the world and in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Safety of immunization. Organization of the campaign on supplementary immunization. Vaccination centre”; the reports of associate professor F.M.Shayzadina “The rules of storage and transportation of vaccines. Cold chain. Adverse events following immunization (AEFI). Surveillance of AEFI”; the report of docent A.M.Smagulova "Communication skills of health workers with parents and teenagers; the report of assistant of the department of children's infectious diseases Izteleuova A.M. “The algorithm for urgent actions in cases of adverse events following immunization associated with immunization against measles.”

The audience listened the reports with great interest, there were a questions about the indications and contraindications for vaccination, the effectiveness of the vaccine, the organization and implementation of preventive vaccinations, possible effects after immunization.
