Academic Mobility in Germany, Frankfurt (Oder)
7 - year students of KSMU of Internship faculty studied klinical and practical skills in hospital of Frankfurt (Oder), Germany in a period from 1/09/15 to 28/09/15. During this month our interns had been working side by side with German specialists, exploring the structure of the hospital, taking part in morning conferences and attending every week conferences where new achievements of medicine and particularly results of the newest clinical learnings about drugs for treating Diabetes and Amyloidosis were coveraged.
In addition interns were trained to the necessary theoretical and practical skills;they had found out some special knowledge about diagnostic tactics, treatment tactics, which are used in German hospitals, also they saw a Hi-Tech equipment, that all German hospitals have.
Interns, which are studying on Surgery, had an opportunity to assist different operations, which were quite big and difficult sometimes, so because of this they got a huge irreplaceable experience.
One of the most important experience that our interns got in Germany is working in a Stem cell transplantation department. They found out some special things about how this operation is done, indications and contraindications of transplantation, preparing of the patient to this procedure and about complications.
