N.A. Nazarbayev is the Leader of the nation.
"The Day of the First President of Kazakhstan" is the state holiday that we have been celebrating since the 1st of December, 2011. On this day, N. Nazarbayev was announced as the President of Kazakhstan due to the first national presidential vote 20 years ago. N. Nazarbayev was the existing President of the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic at that time and he became the Leader of Kazakhstan for the next 5 years. Kazakhstan gained its sovereignty fifteen days later, on the 16th of December, 1991.
Establishment and consolidation of the Presidency is connected with the first Leader of Kazakhstan, who is "the Heart" of the state system of the Republic from the time of its sovereignty. Strong and stable state power represented by the National Leader came out from the first time of the reformation in the economic, political and social spheres.
The event contributed to students’ patriotic education, their sense of pride in the nation and its Leader.
