Innovative technologies in respiratory medicine discussed

From October 19 to 21, 2023, the X Congress "Innovative Technologies in Respiratory Medicine" was hosted in Astana, organized by PA "Association of Respiratory Medicine Specialists", Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan, NCJSC "Astana Medical University".

The purpose of the congress was to obtain information and exchange of experience in accordance with modern approaches of diagnosis and treatment of respiratory pathologies, with emphasis on comorbidity, which is very important for practical healthcare in the world. Representatives of NCJSC “Karaganda Medical University” attended with reports:

- Professor, MD, pathologist of the highest category Maida Tussupbekova with the report "Clinical and morphological parallels of intravascular sclerosing bronchoalveolar tumor (clinical observation)";

- Professor, MD, pulmonologist of the highest category Lyazat Ibrayeva with the report "Analysis of the use of anti-fibrotic therapy in patients with progressive pulmonary fibrosis in Karaganda region";

- Associate Professor, PhD, pathologist of the first category Leila Stabaeva with the report "Post-coronavirus syndrome as a trigger of carcinoid tumor of the lung (clinical observation)";

- Assistant Professor, pathologist of the highest category Olga Kostyleva and Assistant Professor Irfan Mohammed with the report "Morphological equivalent of lymphoid interstitial pneumonia".

Professor L.K. Ibrayeva was the facilitator of Symposium 16 "Interstitial lung diseases and tumor processes: clinical and morphological parallels" and poster session.

Also, all residents of the specialty "Adult and Pediatric Pulmonology" of NCJSC "Karaganda Medical University" were actively involved in the congress. Residents-pulmonologists Andrey Krylov, Diana Zhumagaliyeva, Marina Pen and Zhibek Yerketayeva presented at the poster session the results of their scientific work in the form of a poster report "Experience of implementation of screening program for early diagnosis of COPD in health centers of Karaganda". According to the results of the competition of poster scientific reports residents-pulmonologists took the 1^st prize-winning place.
