A study tour to Istanbul, Türkiye, took place from November 6 to 10, 2023, as part of the Erasmus+ Program's Project 101082831 - BERNICA - ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE "Building Educational and Research Capacities in Nutrition and Dietetics in Central Asia."

It was organized for representatives of Kazakhstan (Karaganda Medical University, Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University), Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan. 

The tour was organized by the Istanbul Medipol University’s team of employees. Kazakhstan delegation of six people was led by the republican project coordinator, MD, Professor Karlygash Toguzbayeva. Professor Lyazat Ibrayeva, Associate Professor Irina Bacheva, and teacher Olzhas Zhamantayev represented Karaganda Medical University.

The team representatives were able to participate in the development of modules for undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The attendees also visited the northern and southern campuses, the Istanbul Medipol University clinic, and got acquainted with the university's equipment and capabilities. The event concluded with a ceremony of awarding certificates to the participants and the work to be undertaken on the project.
