Residents of the specialty "Neonatology" under the program of external academic mobility were trained at the Department of Pediatrics and Neonatology at Kazan State Medical University.

The department is located on the basis of the Children's Republican Clinical Hospital and Perinatal Center No.1 in Kazan (Republic of Tatarstan). Resident neonatologists of the NCJSC "KMU" M.T. Myrzagulov and A.A. Ybrai had practical training and studied in the neonatal pathology department (NPD) and neonatal intensive care department (NICD). They provide highly specialized care to newborns from all over the republic.

Together with the head of the NPD F.M.  Kazakova and head of the NICD M.A. Satrudinov, residents conducted daily visits, assigned medical check-up, treatment and maintained medical records.

The clinics are equipped with all the necessary medical equipment to provide highly specialized medical care for newborns. Screening of all newborns for 55 genetic diseases is carried out throughout the republic.

The time spent by our residents on clinical bases has enhanced knowledge and skills, and promoted cultural and professional exchange between the medical communities of our countries.
