KSMU undergraduates were trained in Ataturk University in Turkey

From 11 to 23 May at the base of Medical Faculty of Atatürk University in Erzurum, within the educational Master’s  program, 14 undergraduates of  1st year  of study, were trained in conjunction with the 13th undergraduates  of the University of Ataturk. By agreement with KSMU, classes of Research Methodology Course, were devoted to the management of scientific research, health organizations, publications in scientific journals and laboratory diagnosis.

Within the course of scientific training undergraduates met with the planning of research, standards and norms of GCP, research in the field of genetics, epidemiology, bioethics, experiments with animals, the rules of registration of research results and the preparation of scientific publications.


Within the indicated period trainees visited the University Hospital of Ataturk, physiotherapy and hyperbaric oxygenation department, division of nephrology, rooms of peritoneal dialysis, research laboratories of professor’s Zekai Halici, Sener Tasdemir, Memet Isik, Department of Ophthalmology, acupuncture and girudotherapy department and department of family medicine. Undergraduates visited and got acquainted with the ambulance station.

The cultural program undergraduates were able to visit the main attractions of the city of Erzurum. There are Fortress Kale, mausoleum Üç Kümbetler, mosque Çift Minareli Medrese, aerial survey, Taşhan palace, which is now a market of jewelry.

KSMU undergraduates met with the Rector of the University of Ataturk, exchanged gifts, books about our universities and souvenirs.

At the end of the program, all graduate students received a certificate of attendance of scientific training at the University of Ataturk.
