Workshop «Innovative technologies in malignant tumors diagnosis and treatment»

The department
of Surgical Disciplines №1 FCPD in conjunction with the Department of Oncology of
KSMU held the master class on "Innovative technologies in malignant tumors
diagnosis and treatment" on the basis of the Regional Cancer center from
06.10.14 to 10.10.14 for PHC physicians, GPs, surgeons and doctors of radiation
diagnostics. 48 doctors from polyclinics
of Saran, Aktas, Karkaralinsk district and Nurinskiy district completed this
training.
The workshop was held by professors having the higher oncologist
category Akhat Mukhamedievich Bukenov and Valentina Bronislavovna Sirota. The themes
of the workshop were breast cancer, skin cancer, pigmentary tumor, pulmonary
tumour, GI tract organs cancer and female genital sphere cancer. Modern methods
of diagnosis and treatment were reviewed, discussed and almost demonstrated. In
ultrasonography room the needle core biopsy of breast tumors, thyroid and
prostate glands was performed in conjunction with the doctors. The doctors did
the rounds in the hospital department of mammalogy and radiology №1, where the
patients with visual localization of tumors were examined.
