Academic mobility program allowed us, the 4^th year students of the specialty “Public health” of the Semey Medical University, to study at Karaganda State Medical University.

The first Department where  we started our course was the Department of food hygiene, general hygiene and ecology, leaded by Professor Teryehin Sergey Petrovich. Four weeks we had been studying elective discipline «Food Quality Control» together with the groups 4010 PH and 4008 PH.

We have never met before such interesting method of teaching. We planned and created funny, colorful and cognitive games for children and students on topic “Proper Nutrition”, which had represented our knowledge and importance of the rational use of food. The greatest part was that during the accomplishment of this task improvised teams become one unit. Also, we made a video on “Sensible nutrition”. Our video was not about the rules of nutrition, we made a social experiment on the types of food chosen by students in modern life rhythm. It is known, that students often prefer so called “fast food”, which can’t be defined as healthy, so we decided to give the students the opportunity to choose between healthy and unhealthy food. Our experiment was successful and satisfactory to all participants. Prevailing part of the students cares about their health and makes a healthy choice. During this experiment we greatly enjoyed our work with students and had enormous amount of positive emotions. On the last day of the discipline all teams presented their work, played the games and had fun in general.

We’d like to thank everyone who helped us and, especially, wonderful teacher, professor Akhmetova Svetlana Vladimirovna, who held an interesting and remarkable lectures. She was guiding us through our task performance and we can tell without exaggeration that her words will stay printed in our hearts. We will be successful and good specialists in our field!
