Honorable researchers and persons concerned, do you want to become the icon e of the modern science of Kazakhstan and take part in the international competition for scientific communication in the UK?

Then you can get the chance to take part in the new project of the British Council of Kazakhstan and JSC " The National Agency for Technological Development" under the scientific communication - Famelab Kazakhstan. Famelab is one of the biggest competitions in the field of scientific communication international final which is held annually in Cheltenham, United Kingdom.

§  The aim of the competition is to build effective communication of science to the general public.

The contest is to enable participants to explain the concept of the scientific work or study in English for three minutes. The competition is open to citizens of Kazakhstan at the age from 18 years old to 40 years old being a students, receiving education, working or conducting research in the field of technology, engineering, medicine, biology, chemistry, physics or mathematics. Applications will be accepted from employees, both private and public sector.

§  Participation:

You need to prepare a short video lasting no more than 3 minutes to download it to one of the video sharing (YouTube, Vimeo) and attach the resulting link to the online application for the qualifying round.

10 best participants of the qualifying round will be invited to the national final, which will be held on November 12, 2015 in Astana city.

Visit to the UK:

Winner of the national final will take part in the international competition FameLab in Cheltenham, United Kingdom.

Winners, who take the second and third place, will go to the winner of the UK as a support team, besides the winner, the owners of the second and third places of the National Competition will be rewarded with cash prizes.
