School of Public Health and Biomedicine of the Institute of Public Health and Occupational Health at the International level

During the period from December 1 to 3, at the invitation of the members of the Aspher working group in Germany, our colleagues, the dean of the school of public health and biomedicine, Dauletkaliyeva Zhania, and PhD student of the educational program "Public health" Nukeshtayeva Karina, attended the workshop "HAWFulda. International Days”at the Fulda University of Applied Sciences in Germany.

 The first day of the event began with a welcoming speech from the President of the University Karim Khakzar, WHO Representative in Switzerland Rüdiger Krech and Project Manager ASPHER Lore Leighton. The main part of the event was carried out by the professors of the Department of Nursing and Health Sciences Kai Michelsen and Jens Holst, the head of the international department Julia-Sophie Rothmann.

The main points of the seminar were devoted to discussing the possibility of developing joint modules, educational programs, academic mobility programs within the Erasmus + and DAAD, exchange of experience on international cooperation with the Medical University of Gdansk, Poland, and financing partnerships within the Erasmus + and NA DAAD framework. In order to discuss further steps and opportunities, round tables were held with the participation of Fulda University partners from Romania, Kenya, Ireland, Israel, Canada, including online.

The last day of the seminar was devoted to the opportunities and challenges of student mobility in Greece, Poland, Kenya, Romania and Switzerland. Students shared their experience in implementing academic mobility at partner universities.

In conclusion, each of the participants gave feedback on the organization of the seminar.

We remind you that on June 4, the School of Public Health and Biomedicine of the Institute of Public Health Professional Health received official membership in the Association of Schools of Public Health in the European Region (ASPHER).
