In recent years, Student Olympiads have become a significant element of academic life, allowing young professionals to showcase their potential and delve into the depths of their specialization. One of the important events was the epidemiological 'battle' between Astana Medical University and Karaganda Medical University.

Representing our university were the group of dentists from 4-007 and the 3rd-year dentistry students in the shortened program. They are Dosniyazova Khanshaim, Musaeva Meerim, Prokopovich Denis, Temirzhanova Dana, Sidikmetova Amina, Shin Artem, Fadeev Evgeniy, Sharipov Danil, and Verpetov Kiriyan.

Epidemiology, as the science of disease spread and influencing factors on human health, is becoming increasingly relevant in the modern world. With global challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic, understanding the principles of epidemiology is becoming an integral part of the training of health professionals.

The competition between the two leading medical universities of Kazakhstan attracted the attention of many students and teachers. Both university teams demonstrated profound knowledge regarding epidemiology and the ability to analyze and apply acquired information.

Recalling the Olympic spirit that always characterizes these competitions, one can say that both teams displayed besides high professionalism, but also unity, ambition, and a drive to win.

This Olympiad serves as a vivid example of how competitions can contribute to raising the professional level of students and supporting the advancement of science and education in the area of healthcare.

We congratulate our future dentists' team on their well-deserved victory in this thrilling competition and wish them further achievements in the field of epidemiology and medicine in all. 

We hope similar contests will continue in the future, inspiring young professionals to reach new heights in research and the fight against diseases.
