The republican judo tournament among students of higher educational institutions was organized on December 14-15 in Semey to commemorate the 165th anniversary of the renowned philosopher Shakarim Kudaiberdiuly. Competitions were attended by over 100 athletes from 12 teams of the universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

10 athletes participated from Karaganda Medical University. In the weight category of 66 kg Bekzhan Nurgali (1002 MPC) performed first, and won the bronze medal.

In the weight category up to 100 kg, resident student of 8001 group Bekmurad Kenzheev performed, and took the third place.

In the absolute weight category of +100 kg Nursultan Sariev from 3002 Biomed  performed, and won the bronze medal.

Among female students in the weight category of 52 kg in the final, Kymbat Issenova from 4029 GM became champion.

In the weight category of 57 kg, the honor of the University was defended by 2 athletes who faced each other in the final. The winner was Aibota Nurpeyis (3005 PPT) and Shugyla Abdikerim (3008 GM) took second place.

In the weight category of 70 kg, Ayaulym Issakhova (2011 GM) showed courageous resistance and won the bronze medal.

In the weight category of + 78 kg, Kamilla Kyrykbai (2002 Biomed) represented Karaganda Medical University, she also was in the pedestal of honor finishing third.

In the team competition by winning 8 medals NCJSC KMU took an honorable 3rd place out of 12 teams from all over Kazakhstan.
