The last Tutorial classes on Sociology in groups PH (Public Healthcare) 1-002 and GM (General Medicine) 2-070 were held as interactive in leaving 2014 (instructor is a docent of Department of History of Kazakhstan and SPD A.M. Abikenova). The interactive classes were held as the online webinars.

On the New Years’s eve, the Department of educational and social work, together with students-activists conducted a traditional new-year action – they congratulated subdivision, dean's offices, departments and administration of the university with the upcoming holidays.

New Year is coming! The department of educational and social work together with the sector of mercy of CSSG (Committee of students self-government) conducted the annual action for children with disabilities "New Year in Child's House". Almost 90 thousand tenge was collected during the action. Sweet prizes and new-year gifts were bought on that funds received for the pupils of child's house.

Research and instructional methodology workshop was held on December 9, 2014.From now on, Educational Board of KSMU and its Center for Analysis and Innovations in Medical Education will organize such workshops every three months. Their primary purpose is to create a platform for discussion of educational process in our University, sharing experience and enhance the education.

The grandiose gala concert of republican patriotic festival of students "Менжастарғасенемін" took place in Al-Farabi Kazakh National University to the day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan! Second time the talented boys and girls came from all regions of the republic for communication and exchange of experience with the representatives of state structures, public organizations and business.

On November 29, theDepartment of youth politics of Karaganda region organized a debate tournament among the students of universities of Karagandawithin the framework of the regional festival sanctified to International Day of students. The students of KSU, КEU and Legal Academy were in the number of the participants. A primary objective of similar tournaments is intellectual development of young people.

On December 23, the department of educational and social work together with the dean's offices of faculties of General Medicine and Preventive Medicine organized the students folk-festival "We are different, we are equal, we are together!" , sanctified to celebration of the 23 anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
